Private Note:
Our company has contact with 5-7 separate sources, including LCL consolidators, who can potentially assist. Depending on the total volume/weight of your samples - typically 1 cubic meter or 35 cubic feet - is where you start to realize substantial savings over small package imports. Plus you reduce 1 customs entry per small package to one entry for the entire consolidation, and save on handling fees in the U.S.
The options into Southern Cal/LA area are many. Can you instruct your suppliers to ship these to one F.O.B. port/origin in China? If so, we're in business!
Feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail if you want to pursue some quotes via ocean service.

For parcel shipping, DHL has the best rates from China. They were about 40% less than FedEx the shipments that went out the last time. http://www.intlquote.com

You could have items delivered to Wexpot office in Yiwu or Hangzhou, Wexpot will charge a US50 consolidation handling fees for one outgoing shipment + cost.
Do provide the details of your items (Item description, dimension, weight, destination address) and will have someone come back to you on estimated cost of freight.
I was lucky enough to find a freight company that my friend works for called Yusen and he offered to have the order be consolidated through them.
All I had to do is convince the manufacturers to send it to the Yusen china office for free.
This is saving me about $1500 in shipping cost!!!
If you are not lucky enough to have a friend in this business then I suggest you go through Wextpot. they seemed to be the most convenient and affordable way to consolidate packages from china.
Send them an email at support@wexpot.com and they will give you an address where your manufacturers can send the product to.
If you have better ways to do this please continue the conversation
